| SON DevelopmentGiving to Nursing Thanks to you ... My Mizzou Stories Nightingale Society Staff |
Students As the nursing school enters its second century, our greatest challenge is in meeting the nationwide demand for nurses. A shortfall of more than a million nurses by 2010. It’s ironic and distressing when the school has to turn away aspiring nurses because our classes are full. In the past year, the school was forced to turn away qualified applicants. Gift-giving will provide the resources to expand the school’s faculty and facilities, as well as increase the availability of nursing scholarships.
